Teens Lead 2010 Application

Teens Lead participants are expected to attend all summer institute sessions and stay in the residence halls during the entire program, August 9-13, 2010. In completing this application, you acknowledge that you are aware of these requirements and agree, if accepted, to meet this commitment.

Essay Questions
Please limit your responses to 300 words or less.
For example, involvement in student organizations or associations, work-related activities, volunteer or political activities.
This could include your personal goals, professional development, and/or visions for your campus or larger community.
This should include any leadership positions attained.
References
Please include the names, titles, phone numbers and email addresses (if available) for two references. Applicants will need to submit one letter of recommendation from their teacher. This teacher can either email the letter to nlormail@pdx.edu with the applicant name in the subject, or mail it to the following address: Portland State University, Center for Women, Politics & Policy, P.O. Program Fee
The program fee for Teens Lead! in 2010 is $250. This fee is required to secure a student's place in the program. It is due upon admission, and is non-refundable. The fee is all inclusive of food, materials, and education for all five days. There are a number of need-based full and partial scholarships available, so please keep in mind financial need should not be a barrier to any qualified student who wants to attend Teens Lead! If you feel that you are in need of financial assistance please use this page to describe your situation, and the amount of aid you need (full or partial). If you are in a position to help pay another student's fee, you may indicate that here as well and a representative from our office will contact you.
